Growing up in the Bay Area, Ali Torres was constantly surrounded by creative energies.  Picking up a camera at an early age, she fell in love with photography, and more specifically, the portrait.  While an art student at San Jose State University, she began to focus on creating strong connections in her photographs between the model and the viewer. In 2007 she graduated with her degree in Studio Art emphasis in Photography. That same year Ali moved from the bay area to Seattle, Washington. Her personal work shifted towards nature, as she focused on experiencing the seasons and soaking in the beautiful local landscapes.  Beginning to sell prints, Ali was also sought out as an event and wedding photographer in the Pacific Northwest. Working with local bands, shooting their live shows and taking promotional photos, she was published in The Seattle Sinner twice.  She organized, shot and published two successful pin-up girl calendars with Seattle artist Khara Bacon, selling over 200 copies in 2009. It has been her dream to share her love of photography with others. In 2010 she returned to the bay area and began to realize her dream as an instructor for "Art Attack!" in Burlingame. Every day Ali combines her love of teaching with her passion for photography, creating an exciting and positive learning environment.
