Oil Painting New students begin with drawing exercises followed by a still life oil painting of a basic form (like an apple or pear) to demonstrate the application of technique to 3-D objects. With the help and guidance of the instructor, all are then encouraged to choose their own projects and mediums to put into practice the techniques they are learning. All ability levels and individual artistic interests are welcome as class size enables the instructor to help each student with their individual project. Child Tuesday 4-6 PM and Child Thursday 4-6 PM : Drawing and Oil Painting Tuesday & Thursday classes with Suzie Ferras offer instruction in general art, with an emphasis on Drawing, Illustration, and Oil Painting. Students are taught both basic drawing techniques, using pencil and charcoal, and beginning color theory, using pastels and oil paints.
