Week 1: Storytellers! June 15 - 19

A week-long art adventure where your wildest dreams become brushstrokes and story boards! Campers will dive into the magic of storytelling through art, exploring how heroes rise, worlds collide, and characters come alive on canvas and in crafts.

We’ll kick off our week with an inspiring field trip to the Cartoon Art Museum in SF, where we’ll uncover how iconic characters are conceived and sharpen our own ideas in a hands-on character design workshop that feels like stepping inside an animated dream. Create your own spin on K-Pop Demon Hunters, Super Mario, or Minecraft, or buildout a completely original character from a story only you know.

Back at the studio, we will jump into world-building, venturing from enchanted forests to forgotten planets to neon cityscapes. Through oil paints and mixed media, campers will build vibrant worlds that reflect their voices and visions.

By Friday, our studio will be a gallery of galaxies, enchanted kingdoms, and fierce heroes; a place where every imagination took flight and every story found its art!
