Week 9: Aloha Summer! August 8-12

Hear the gentle strands of the ukulele above the soft whoosh of the ocean waves. Enjoy the tangy scent of salt water mixed with sweet plumeria blossoms as you walk barefoot, warm sand squishing between your toes. Let’s take a week together on a tropical island to end our summer. What will you paint this week? The sun rises as we explore the tide pools, starfish cling to black lava rocks as crabs scuttle past. On the beach we find dancers doing the ancient hula so graceful and beautiful. We rest below the swaying palm trees, and look for whales swimming off shore. We board a sailboat and watch the dolphins jump before us and the sea turtles riding waves with surfers. We feast on pineapple, papaya and coconut. Will this week find you swimming with mermaids or buried in pirate treasure? You decide with the painting you choose and the fine art crafts we do together.
